What Sets Our Window Treatment Store Apart

Not every window treatment store is Hunter Douglas Gallery® like we are at Walls & Windows. Our showroom puts the full Hunter Douglas collection in front of you in working form, not just a catalog or a handful of sample boards. You can see for yourself how cellular shades use a honeycomb construction to trap air and insulate against damp Bellingham winters, or tilt the vanes on the sheer shades to watch soft, diffused light fill the room without glare.

Our design team works with these products every day, so they’re ready to offer specific advice. We'll talk through how a north-facing room in the Lettered Streets holds light differently than a bay-view wall in Edgemoor, and which window treatments work best for each.

Additionally, we’re a certified Hunter Douglas cleaning and warranty repair location. Our experts are happy to help solve almost any issue with your blinds and shades, getting them back in working order as quickly as possible.

Hunter Douglas Window Treatments for Every Room

At Walls & Windows, we specialize in Hunter Douglas window treatments for every purpose and room, including blinds, shades, and interior shutters, as well as commercial options for local businesses through Hunter Douglas Architectural.

For example, to enjoy more combined light control and insulation, Duette® Honeycomb Shades are a favorite among older Bellingham homes, where drafty single-pane windows are common.

Alternatively, other window shades like Silhouette® Sheer Shades and Pirouette® Sheer Shades provide a soft, filtered glow while maintaining privacy, making them a good match for the close-set houses around the South Hill.

If your style leans more towards a cleaner, architectural look, then NewStyle® Composite Shutters or EverWood® Faux Wood Blinds easily withstand moisture and won't warp or discolor over time.

Motorized Window Treatments

Why not take your home into the quiet luxury of motorized window treatments with the help of Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation? This system lets you schedule your blinds, shades, and select interior shutters to move on their own. They can close against the afternoon sun or open to catch the morning light off the bay.

It's a smart upgrade for tall or hard-to-reach windows in Victorian and Craftsman homes near Fairhaven. Whatever your home's style, we'll help you match the right custom window treatments to each window.

Exterior Products for Bellingham Homes

At Walls & Windows, we take our passion for window treatments outside the home with a curated selection of premium exterior shades and outdoor living solutions, including:

  • Retractable Awnings.
  • Screen Shades.
  • Porch Enclosure Systems.
  • Open Air Cabanas.
  • Storm & Security Shutters.

FAQs About Our Window Treatment Store Near Bellingham, WA

Learn more about our window treatment store near Bellingham, WA, to see how we can be a great fit for your next home project:

  • Which window treatments hold up best against Bellingham winters?

Damp conditions are a main concern for many Washington homeowners. Palm Beach™ Polysatin™ Vinyl Shutters, for example, are built to resist moisture and are resistant to warping, so they're a strong pick for bathrooms, kitchens, and any room near the water.

For insulation against those long gray stretches, Duette® Honeycomb Shades trap air in their interior cells and help hold in warmth from escaping through the glass.

  • Do my windows get enough summer light to worry about fading?

They certainly can! South and west-facing rooms that catch the afternoon sun off the bay are the most at risk, especially in open-plan homes near the waterfront. Light-filtering window shades and PowerView® Automation both help.

  • Can you match window treatments to an older Fairhaven or Lettered Streets home?

Yes! Historic Victorian and Craftsman homes, like those often found in Fairhaven or Lettered Streets, often have tall, narrow, or oddly sized windows that generic window treatments from big-box stores can't accommodate.
